1. WHY ARE WE BUILDING AT THIS TIME?
BECAUSE OUR GROWTH HAS OUTGROWN OUR FACILITIES.
On August 23, 2000, a congregation of approximately 125 people met for the first time at the Wichita Theater. This congregation soon chose Heritage Assembly of God as its name. From those first services held at the theater, to the downtown bank building and then to our current location, God has richly blessed our church with many new converts and new members. We are currently conducting two services on Sunday morning to maximize utilization of our facilities. The children’s ministry in all ages has maximized their available space. No fellowship area exists, having been converted into children’s ministries space. The number of “Home Works” classes being offered each semester is restricted by classroom availability. The Junior High ministry is limited to the café. Sunday morning discipleship classes are not offered due to a lack of classroom space. We are at a crossroad. To do nothing is to retreat. To build additional facilities will support the vision and mission of our church.

2. WHAT IS THE COST?
We have architectural plans for two phases. Phase 1 costs have been estimated to be approximately $2,200,000. Phase 2 will cost an additional $400,000. Actual cost will not be known until the project is bid.

3. HOW LARGE IS THE ADDITION?
Phase 1 is approximately 20,000 sq. feet. Phase 2 is approximately 2300 sq. feet.

4. WHEN WILL THE PROJECT BEGIN?
Final construction documents will be completed by the end of May. Construction bidding and actual construction would begin by the beginning of the summer of 2008.

5. HOW WILL THE PROJECT BE PAID FOR?
On March 9th, 2008, the Heritage Family will be asked to prayerfully consider their part in making this possible by making a 3 year financial commitment, in the form of a pledge, to this project. 1.2 million is needed from the congregation in order to move ahead with the first phase. 1.5 million is needed in order to build both phases. The additional monies needed will be paid by the tithes of those who attend Heritage.

6. HOW WILL I PAY MY PLEDGE?
Pledges are generally collected in the following ways…a one time gift or a three year pledge paid on a weekly, monthly or annual basis.
