EPIC KIDS
YOUR LIFE . HIS PLAN . EPIC
Epic Kids teaches God’s love and power in creative ways to reach every child. Each week our team will engage your children through games, bible stories, praise and worship, skits and small groups. We believe every kid has a story to tell through the experiences, talents and abilities that God has given them. We want each child to develop their story so they can impact the world around them. Your life is an Epic story!
Preschool (Birth - K)
What to expect
The Epic Littles department serves children ages 0-5. We have classrooms devoted to meet the needs of each age group in our department; Babies 0-1, toddlers 1-2,
three-year-olds, and 4-5 boys’ and girls’ classes. Each room is equipped with two or more teachers dedicated to serving your family each week. We teach a Bible-based curriculum each week with age-appropriate lessons.
Our facilities
Our department is equipped to meet the needs of each child group by providing facilities made specifically for small children. Each room is located near or contains a restroom made for children only. Each room also contains age-appropriate toys and activities. During your child’s time in our department, they will be able to play in our (square footage) indoor playground designed specifically for children aged 1-5.
Safety
Safety is one of our top priorities at Heritage. That is why each children’s worker is screened and background checked before entering our department. We always keep a rule of two; meaning two or more teachers are always present with children. We train all our teachers with appropriate safety procedures and have plans for tornado, fire, and shelter in place as well as first aid. Our church employs a uniformed officer during all service times as well as a security team that patrols the hallways. In addition to these safety procedures, we also have a paging system to alert parents if they are needed during the service.
Sunday Mornings
Your First Visit
In the Epic Kids check in area, we will greet your family and check-in your child. As part of our check-in process, we will ask for the following information: Children’s name and birthdates, grade, contact information and any necessary medical information. Once your child is checked in, you and your child will be given matching tags. When picking up your child, you will show your matching tags for your child to be released to you.
The Ride Home
Every week we provide a "Parent Cue" that will help you connect with your child about what we learned that day. It will give you opportunities to interact with your child all week about the lesson.
Connection Groups
We meet in the evening on the third Sunday each month for small group fun. We have food, fellowship, games, field trips, crafts, and experiments that provide an opportunity for connection with others.
Wednesday Evenings
There are opportunities galore on Wednesday evenings for your kids.
Royal Rangers
Royal Rangers is an activity-based, small-group church ministry for boys and young men in grades K-12 with a mission to evangelize, equip and empower the next generation of Christ-like men and lifelong servant leaders. We meet on Wednesday nights and normally go on two campouts per year. Each Wednesday we work on earning merits, learning God’s word, and have time for the boys to interact with other young men through organized activities. We meet on Wednesdays at 6:30 pm.
Girl's Ministries
This is a ministry for girls ages 4-12. Girls Ministries is a biblical discipleship program that aims to develop strong, self-assured, godly young women. The focus is on relationships, fun, and study. We meet on Wednesdays at 6:30 pm.
