Today in Matthew chapter 11 we read that Jesus had sent out His disciples and instead of
staying home and saying, "Okay, job done!" He Himself went out to teach and preach.
John the Baptist was in prison and he heard about everything Jesus was doing so
John sent his disciples to ask Jesus if He was the Messiah or if they should
expect someone else.
Jesus' answer was simple. In verse four He said, "Go back and report what you see and
hear."
The blind receive sight. The lame walk. Leprosy is cured. The deaf hear. The dead are raised and the good news is preached to the poor.
In other words, Jesus answered John’s question with a question.
I believe what Jesus was saying is, “What do you think?” He didn’t waste time
or words trying to convince them. He went out and showed them.
Today, I think the question is still "What do you think?"
Do you believe Jesus is the miracle working Messiah? Do you know
Him and believe Him? Do you have the courage and the determination
to say, "I think, I believe HE IS THE CHRIST-the Son of the Living God—
My Savior."?
I read the Chapter before I view the Dwell message to see if I’m on the right track with the way I perceive the message. Some times I miss the big picture. Thanks for keeping on target with God’s word.
