REFLECTION QUESTIONS
Jesus promises that despite the trials of life, He will bring us lasting joy. How does the knowledge of His resurrection help you move from sorrow to joy in your own life?
In what ways might your own unmet expectations cause you sorrow? How can you reframe your expectations and trust in God’s plan, especially when things don’t turn out as you expected?
Jesus tells the disciples, “Take heart because I have overcome the world.” Reflect on how you can hold onto the joy and peace Jesus offers and consider in what areas of your life you need to hear this reminder today. How can you strengthen your faith in Jesus’ ability to bring joy out of sorrow in your life?
The apostles were transformed from fearful and confused individuals into bold witnesses after encountering the risen Christ. How has your faith in Jesus transformed your perspective on your own trials or hardships? How can you take steps to be more bold in sharing the hope and joy that you’ve experienced through Jesus with others?
