DAY 3
Scripture: Mark 5:34
Context:
A woman had been suffering from a bleeding condition for 12 years. She had spent everything she had on doctors, but instead of getting better, she only grew worse.
When she heard Jesus was passing by, she pushed through the crowd, thinking, “If I just touch His clothes, I will be healed.” She reached out, touched His garment—and immediately, the bleeding stopped.
Jesus stopped and asked, “Who touched me?” Not because He didn’t know—but because He wanted to bring her faith into the open. Then He said, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace and be healed.”
Devotional:
This woman with the issue of blood had tried everything - doctors, treatments, time. Nothing worked. But something shifted when she decided, “If I can just touch Him…” She didn’t have a platform. She didn’t have status. She just had faith—and faith made her move.
Jesus didn’t say, “Your situation made you well.” He said, “Your faith has made you well.” Faith isn’t passive. It reaches. It presses. It moves toward Jesus even when everything else has failed. This woman didn’t wait for Jesus to notice her; she reached for Him.
That’s what faith does. Faith pushes past obstacles. Faith moves when everything else has failed. Faith says, “I’m not staying where I am, I’m going after Jesus.” You don’t need a perfect plan, you just need a reaching faith.
You don’t need perfect theology or perfect confidence; you just need a heart that says, “I’m going to reach for Him anyway.”
This week is about moving from thinking about healing to believing for it.
Reflection Question:
What would it look like for me to actively reach for Jesus this week?
Prayer Focus:
“God, give me a faith that moves, not just believes in theory, but reaches in action.”
Action Step:
Take a step of faith today—ask someone to pray with you, or boldly pray out loud over your need.
